In 1993 she joined COIN Group an organisation involved in creating job opportunities for people with disabilities, also through accessible tourism, where she had the responsibility to develop the Group’s Accessible Tourism Dept. at national and international level.
At present, she is responsible for Int.’l relations and European projects and represents the Cooperative in several EU funded projects and international organisations.
In 2013 she was elected as President of ENAT – the European Network for Accessible Tourism, a non-profit organisation, registered in Brussels in 2008.
She has been involved in several national and international seminars and network activities as well as lecturer in training courses on inclusive tourism and equal opportunities for people with disabilities and at risk of social exclusion.
Since 2009 she is a member of the Commission for the development and promotion of accessible tourism, set up by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, where she participated to the study groups on Training and Accessibility and is now coordinating the Europe Working Group.
As ENAT President she has been invited to join the SOAB (Societal Advisory Group) of the JPI More Years Better Lives.

In various projects, he has dealt with the establishment of hiking trails, the accessibility of hiking infrastructure and awareness raising for environmental friendly outdoor recreation, working with various target groups. Currently he is also a partner in the EU project ‘Hiking Europe’ that aims to foster hiking tourism in rural areas.
In the projects on the accessibility of outdoor activities, the focus lies on training the trainers: outdoor guides were trained how to deal with participants with disabilities; training materials for outdoor guides were elaborated.
Moreover, Naturefriends aim to put outdoor activities into practice in collaboration with disability organisations. Together hiking trails are evaluated regarding their suitability for hikers with mobility impairments and when possible concepts for accessible trails are being implemented.
The project “Experiencing nature for all”, implementing accessible outdoor activities, received the “Life Award”, an Austrian award for best practice in accessibility.

She completed her undergraduate study at Gazi University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning in 1994.
She completed her studies for master in 1999 at Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. In 2001, she made a research on “Provision of Accessibility in Inner City Public Transportation Services” as part of her dissertation. She completed doctor’s degrees in 2008 at the same Department. Her doctorate thesis is on “The Attitudes of Responsible Local Agencies towards Disability”.
In addition, she took part in official tasks such as drafting and revising Turkish accessibility legislation and standards as a rapporteur, designing and implementing projects and providing various trainings for technical personnel of municipalities and institutions on accessibility since 1998 as an expert and manager. She has many articles and publications in this field.

Dr. Bonet began his professional career as a medical coordinator in M.D. Emergency S.A. and has been working in the healthcare sector since 1991. From 1992 to 1993 he served as the Manager of Méditerranée Evasan España, a Company of which he was funder and co-owner. During February ’92, he worked as an ER physician for de C.O.J.O (Comité Organisateur des Jeux Olympiques d’Hiver) in Albertville, France. During the summer of the same year he holds the position of Director of the Medical Urgencies Service at the Barcelona Olympics and Paralympic games.
Between 1993 and 1996, Dr. Bonet worked as the director of Medical Urgencies at CSB (Consorcio Sanitario Barcelona); from 1996 to 2009 he was Medical director and Manager of the Medical Services division for RACC. Between 2009 and 2011 he was the Medical Director and Director of the Emergency services at Teknon, Medical Centre.
He was CEO of the SEM "Sistema d’emergències médiques" of the Catalan public healthcare system between 2011 and 2015.
Since 2016, he is CEO of the EGTC-Hospital de Cerdanya, the first hospital in Europe to be co-founded and co-managed by two public healthcare systems under the EU charter for “European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation”.

Design for All Strategist Östersunds kommun (Sweden)
The municipality is working on the basis of its master plan, growth plan and its strategy for Östersund for All. The municipality consists of several departments all working out an action plan based on the strategy. During three years in a row Östersund received the flag of “Cities and Destinations for All”.
Recent building activity in the municipality has been intense, several arenas have been built or rebuilt in recent years. Östersund stadium was awarded in 2015 as a good practice by the Design for All Foundation Awards. In cooperation with the private sector accessibility is developing for all who are active in the county. Several hotels have developed accessibility for everyone to stay there. Östersund wants to become an arena for parasport.
Östersund is developing the future of the city center - a city center for everyone - where several different players are involved. Östersund is growing fast in terms of housing, roads, communications, schools and much more. Our accessibility work is an important foundation in growing.
Executive patron of Design for All Foundation
From 1975 to 1980, she was Head of the Haematology Department at the Hospital San Juan de Deu (Barcelona) and from 1994 to 1997 representative of the people with mental disability sector in the Governing Council of the “Institut Municipal de les Persones amb Disminució” of Barcelona.
From 1995 to 2000 she was responsible for the External Relations in the Resources Centre for Personal Autonomy that belongs to the Barcelona Province Government.
In 2001, she became Executive Patron of the Design for All Foundation where she is responsible for the general management.
She has been responsible for the development of many national and international projects in her position as: Design for All in Spanish Universities, the Network of Cities and Destinations for All, Museum for All, Society for All, Auditing system for the use of Design for All in companies, and has coordinated the participation of the Design for All Foundation in the European project IDeALL (Integrating Design for All in Living Labs) on processes of co-creation with users.
She has been also lecturer in several Spanish Universities, design schools and congresses.

She has been on the staff of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board since 1988, where she is responsible for the Image Archive and is the Head of Inclusive Tourism.
Her main tasks are to promote the inclusive offer on the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees; to create collaboration spaces with tourism for everyone initiatives, whether private or public; to create awareness in the tourism sector through organising training sessions, informative talks, and the publication of tourist material that takes the accessible offers and services into consideration, as well as to contact tour operators and travel agencies from all over.

Her research line is cultural tourism, including from conceptualization to management. In this field she has focused her research in two areas; pilgrimage and religious tourism and gastronomy tourism, both as cultural expressions.
A part from different publications on these topics, she is member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal on Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage. She is also member of the Unitwin UNESCO Chair "Culture Tourism and Development.
She has carried several research studies both in the University and as a consultant. She is now participating in two European Projects, ACCENT Gastronomy (related to the accessibility to elements of gastronomy tourism) and SPIRIT-Youth (related to the creation of a spiritual tourism proposal trough Europe for young people).
In addition to her work as teacher and researcher, she was worked in the tourism sector. She managed for nine years the tourist services of some sanctuaries of the Bishopric of Girona. Currently she cooperates with different institutions related to religious tourism, such as Montserrat Monastery, organizing courses and seminars.
Coordinator of EuCAN (European Concept for Accessibility Network)
In 1999 he took over the coordination of EuCAN, the “European Concept for Accessibility Network” and was responsible for the publication and co-author of ECA 2003 – Technical assistance manual, ECA 2008 - ECA for administrations, ECA 2013 – Design for All in practice and ECA 2017 – Destinations for All. All ECA documents have been translated from English into many other languages in order to serve as national guidance documents.

Founder of the Play&Train
From 1995 this passion moved onto the sports for persons with a disability. Since then she has been Technical Director of the Spanish Paralympic Team, Chair of Snow Sports in the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Co-Founder and CEO of the Spanish non-profit social business Play and Train.
Sylvana has received many awards during her career, the last one the Paralympic Order. Today through Play and Train and the IPC, Sylvana advocates the right for all to access leisure, sport and tourism services on an equal basis.
